Accessibility statement
Our target is WCAG 2.1 AA for this website and the ProverbAI app. Here is what we do, what is not right yet, and how to tell us about a problem.
Last updated
We are a small company in testing. If anything here is unclear, write to hello@proverbai.io.
Our commitment
Everyone who works on program assessment should be able to use ProverbAI, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or other assistive technology.
Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, for this website and for the ProverbAI app. It is the standard many universities ask their software vendors to meet.
What we do
- Keyboard: links, buttons and form fields can be reached and used with a keyboard, and a skip link jumps past the menu to the content.
- Focus: a clear outline shows where you are on the page.
- Contrast: we choose text and background colours to meet AA contrast.
- Reduced motion: if your device is set to reduce motion, the site's movement stops.
- Labels and errors: form fields have visible labels, and a mistake is named beside the field it belongs to.
- Structure: each page has one main heading, headings in order, labelled regions, and text descriptions for images.
- Small screens: pages fit a phone screen without sideways scrolling.
- Automated checks: our tests include automated accessibility checks against WCAG 2.1 AA rules.
Known limitations
- Illustrations: the drawings are decorative or have short text descriptions; the text on each page carries the information.
- PDF reports: the locked PDF report each program will receive is still being built. Making it accessible is part of that work, and we will describe it here when it is released.
- Uploaded plans: the plans institutions upload are shown as they were made, so their accessibility depends on the original document.
- Testing: we have not yet completed a full review with screen readers and other assistive technology, or an independent audit, and we do not yet have an Accessibility Conformance Report (VPAT).
Report a problem
If something on this website or in the app is hard to use, please tell us at hello@proverbai.io. It helps to include:
- the address of the page;
- what you were trying to do;
- your device and browser, and any assistive technology you use.
We will reply and tell you what we will do about it. If you need information from this site in another format, ask us and we will help.
About this statement
We prepared this statement on 1 November 2026, based on our own testing of the website and the app. We will review it as ProverbAI changes.
